Hmm…the last few days…were really bad….The year started with a big blow …CAT results. hmm now am not going to talk anymore about that. I am planning to attempt one more time (last in my life)..if even the next one fails.. will start a CAT coaching center I think I have enough credentials for that.

Today wrote XAT exam but this one was not a whole hearted one.. all the time was in a light mood.. The center I wrote the exam ,there was even Infosys Test. The place was crowded and can’t make out who has come for what exam. I saw two of my TIME batch mates standing in the Infosys queue, haha they got confused and almost went into the infy exam rooms. I then called them and told about this.

Before the exam we were discussing about the game TOMB RAIDER. I played TR Gold, TR Chronicles and The lost artifact. During that discussion I said that Tomb raider uses tampons under water. Actually that was by mistake it was harpoons (rhymes with tampon ;) ..) Then there was sudden silence around us that’s when I realized the mistake.

Apart from that nothing great, a cute chic sat next to me but whatever the paper, the toughest exam I have taken till now, negated the whole mood.

I am reading this book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’, good book; I should have read this book long time back. ‘Better late than never’. Soon I’ll write a review and synopsis for the book in my other blog which I started oflate.

My New Year resolution (made it today only):-
Am planning to do a lot of things. Some things which were my hobbies during my childhood like sketching, running. Read at least one novel per month.
Planning to do NCFM, have to see how far I’ll be successful.

Snapshot of the Year 2005....

I some how feel the year 2005 is the quickest year in my life...i still feel the last new year was just few months back..;)
Ok for me new year is nothing great just change of last two digits in the date...I dont believe in resolutions or celebrations..

Jan 2005 :- Those days was sick of this job then planned to apply for some good one...Thanx to Muqqa..(my school friend)..
he referred me to  a good company(he is working)....My heights of stupidity ...i didnt qualify the HR round (haha..)..
...then learnt how to tackle an interview.. have to learn from our failures.....year started with a good lesson....
Thanks to a cute friend (chic) in office the month passed quickly...

Feb 2005:- The shortest month...OK viewers its bday month ok u may check out my wishlist..and i dont mind whatever is the gift..am bit adjusting type...
I remem participating Couple O quiz that month ...that's one thing i remem...apart from that nothing great

Mar 2005:-Hmm..Ok that month I had been to IIT madras... Meghamsh and myself...we went by Charminar express..i still remem the adventurous trip....
right from getting into train till reaching chennai..hardly we reached chennai Megsi left to sharav(non-males hostel). ;) Am sure  no Sharavite will read my blog...
I pity this guy still behind the same person...Megs.(aquarian like me...count on him any day.....my tongue victim (i say that cos..whatever i say it worksout only him) ... )...Some of the pics u see in my blog....were taken those days...Then met one more
loser Keerthi.(sensitive ,romantic..ok i dunno what pppl think about him..atleast this much i feel is true about him)..loopline victim...
Overall March was really gr8 cos of the trip...

Apr 2005:- Fools month..Those days was a sincere worker..devoted...(ok i have this bad quality..curiosity...zeal to learn things quickly..oflate i realised ignorance is bliss)
I some how settled with the current job...cos i planned to do MBA..so no point changing job...
One good thing was i started blogging..

May 2005:-i joined theTIME class room course...then the daily boring work..thats it..

Jun2005 :-TIME mocks started ...got mothered..I some how dont find the return over the investment(hardwork) i put..lets see..

Jul2005 :- I became a regular blogger..My friend Anil returned to India...from Spore...(He is in the most wanted list in Spore..found live or dead $100000)
Anil..the most confused...weird...my type person..we think alike...ok..he is the class version...again an aquarian like me
Anil got a Arsenal jersey for me...but the saddest thing is arsenal not doin well.this season..!....

Aug2005:- I started my shares business..ok till date am still an amateur...need to read a lot..how to analyse and make decisions...
My first profit with IDFC ipo..115%...u may chek out the archives...blogging for me is like writing a personal dairy..i never had this habit b4...but now...am addicted..

Sep2005:- Thats when exam tension was the highest..cos was left with just 2 months..had to cram all those basics..and my Mocks were also very bad..

Oct2005:- When i read the posts  i wrote(archives) i feel as if i wrote them just few days back...time is sprinting...Nothing great with that month also...
as i was busy with work and studies..

Nov2005:- Mother of all months...just cos it has got the pussy...now viewers dont get me wrong..i meant CAT..common admission test...;)
just one word i get in my mind...mothered...Its cos of this CAT i felt the time  was running...after the exam..it came back to its lackadaisical form...

Dec2005:-One month i felt was really coool..bindaas( no tensions at alll)...and one more friend Sai (studyin in US) came for few days ..He gave me
one blue color sexy pullover...arrey Sai Kri thanx maaaaaama.......
SaiKri...he is the main contributor to our group's wieghted avg IQ...bookworm..devours books...very modest...that's it...if i write more..he'll doubt himself...

Now Bhargav is one person who had been with me throughout the year unlike those above..Hmm..one person....very ambitious...laziest person...any movie or outing i went out was with him...


Just one person is left to write about...but this one is goin to come in Jan2006...so i'll write about him later...He is my Santa Claus as of now...gettin loads of gifts..but delayed delivery...next month.. :D


But the coming year i feel will be very bad.....cos all my friends above i talked above will not be around with me...
All going for their higher studies abroad....
I'll be a loner....I call them my best friends cos they have been with me in the best days of my life...IIT life....
We lived together....

I dont know when will be the next get together...
My guess Anurag's marriage...what do  u all say??????

I am back!!!

Hmm this blog is after really long time..
was busy with work and studies...hmmm...
....Anurag wrote about different types of friends.....that's a good observation...hmm the other day went out with my office friends(two).....
then i bumped into two of my school friends....but i faced some sort of difficulty at that moment...i introduced them. .each other..
but some how both the groups ..they dont mix up.....so i had to just talk to my school friends leaving the office mates(frenz).
..then after some time..join my office frenz...ok this is the first time i faced this type of situation...
from now on i hope when ever i am with some frenz(like office or school or college)...
the other frenz group doesn’t appear....
..I think this should be a case with many.....as some one said....people tend to become friends if their wavelengths(thinking) matches...
but if that is the case then how come my office frenz were  unable to mix up with my school frenz..and vice versa.....
so it's just not same wavelength or frequency matters......time is also an important parameter ..the longer u hang around then u become frenz...
ok i know am just filling my crap.. ;)

Reminiscence....

Hmm as i've said now am going to write abt two memorable incidents which i can never forget...(actually there are many.. will post them only on demand :)) )

Incident 1)

Characters:- Anurag ,Arvind,Myself,three others..all three of them were studious.....unlike the first three...There was one guy(research scholar "RA" ) he used to think as if he was the CEO of the lab....his job was to guide ppl in the lab.

Location:- Civil Engineering laboratory...u see cement everywhere.and huge machines..which make hell lot of noise...

Time :- 2:00pm....struggling to keep ourselves awake...we three of us were the laziest pppl..and rarely used to work in the lab...

I dont remember what experiment it was...but whatever every experiment we were supposed to do some graph...actually my job was just to trace others graphs so..dont ask me how to do...

Then... we all showed our graphs to that RA....

RA(total furious) :-" What ? you call this one a graph... I'll buy a rope from Gurunath stores..and hang myself at Gajendra circle....( those two places are landmarks at IIT madras).. You people dont know the difference between a linear graph and a semi-log graph..(ok that was the first time i ever heard of the term)..
"How did you all pass IIT JEE?? "(joint entrance exam)...(as if it's taught in KG )..
Then he even asked our grades and laughed at us... "You ppl dont deserve to be called IITians..shame on you...." the whole lab was pin drop silent.....
OK now you go to gurunath....
Anurag:- "y? to get a rope??"


Incident 2)
This happened when i was in 4th yr 2nd sem.
Characters:- 10 of us were there...all 10 of us are frenz...
Prologue:- We had this minor Financial Management..really fundoo course..but we all wasted it... The Ma'm used to teach us properly but the reason for wasting was , that was the only class where there was no attendance..so we used to bunk the class by default...This minor is for 4 semesters...i.e the last four semesters...as we had bunked 3 semesters..the 4th also i.e. the 4thyr 2nd sem...we bunked all classes...frankly speaking..not even 20 ppl attend per class...but some how at the end when the attendance compilation was done except we 10 rest all had full attendance..the class full strength was around 80..Ma'm used to pass a sheet and ask everyone to sign..and all those came gave proxies to their frenz...but we never got any...and then 2 days after the attendance compilation our names were hotlisted..rather blacklisted..and we all were warned that we'll not be allowed to write the final exam....we came to know abt this two days after that...then all 10 of us went to the class....

Ma'm (sarcastic smile):- "Hmm so finally you all came.."

she then started taking attendance to only those in the list...

She blasted the first guy..class was total silent....
...then again one more...the same result...

this time my turn....
Ma'm :- "What do you ppl think of urself??"
Ma'm :- "So how many classes do you think you have attended??".

:) (mumbling) :- "Ma'm...# $..%..."(what to say frankly speaking i attended just 2 days.)

Ma'm (loud voice) :- "You have attended 11 classes"..( :O I was totally shocked..and thanking that guy who put proxy to me...i was actually happy..but cant show off that i was happy...)

Then she gave us an assignment and warned us to attend the remaining otherwise can register the course the next year...

Thats it....I think this much is enough for now...

Last 2 Weeks update

Hmm..2 exams got over...no tensions.. no hopes ..cos anyway the results are obvious... ok now just XAT is left...with the current form only a miracle can save....

last sunday saw this movie "Venella"... funny movie watchable only with friends...It's about 4 guys who go to US for doing their MBA......their life style etc.. over all it's a "OK" type movie..

Thanx to the road widening ... my workplace got shifted in the building, now am in a secured place and can see everyone approaching my place..earlier it was open to everyone....

Huh! .. everything went fine except the CAT…
Just like every year even this time IIMs gave a shock.. and this time there were many 2 markers… just 90 questions.. the 90 may sound that it’s easy. .but it’s not like that.. three sections each section has 20-2 marks and 10-1marks questions…
My Quant and DI went well…but English again disaster..
Ok now focusing on IIFT.. this time more pressure.. cos already one down…
India bt SA… match was great to watch… broke the winning streak of SA
Arsenal bt Wigan (3-2)… Now I realized Arsenal is the best…..
Hmm CAT should have been on Saturday…cos everything went as I hoped to…
Ok now no regrets ..i feel I worked hard but just luck didn’t favor me…
Next IIFT… after that XAT… Planning to take Gmat this coming March ..i hope the cat preparation helps me….

Reservations for minorities in IITs and IIMs

Huh!..after more than 50yrs of independence its strange to see ppl deciding to whom reservation has to be given. Its high time they cut down all existing reservations.. the SC and ST reservation which they have been enjoying for the past 50yrs!
Why don’t the politicians understand the consequences of the reservations.. They dont think who is going to get benefited finally... their main concern is vote bank...
The whole funda of reservation is to see that the deprived, economically weak people get a chance to come up in life... Its not the time to uplift socially backward people.. if at all there exists something of that kind then educate people to come out these superstitions...they say they have given SC and ST reservations so that ppl in rural and tribal areas come up in life. but what are we seeing ppl who are economically strong and living in cities are getting benefited cos of that.... and they are who actually don’t need ... What is the fun in giving the reservation and not educating the ppl who are actually backward to avail of those ....
I feel at least in top colleges of India like IIM and IITs there should not be any reservations. …come on.. these institutes hard earned reputation is all because of the quality of the students who get in. If they have to encourage the so called socially backward people  .. first they have to create awareness among them about the reservations and career options ..and at the max they should provide financial assistance ..not a seat in these institutes.. cos there are lakhs who are fighting for a seat and some one gets a preference just because he/she is from a recognized tribe/caste/minority......
Muslim community which is treated a minority ..huh they have been living with us prior to independence and still it's shame to call them minorities ..mebbe their population when compared to Hindus is less but they don’t deserved to be called minorities.....What more can u ask ..our President himself is a Muslim... in our cricket team we have good number of muslims ..many of our politicians are muslims...We have had many muslim leaders, politicians in the past also...till now people never looked Muslim as a muslim ..they treat them as equals ..but this will not be the same...if the reservation comes into picture,..
huh am totally pissed.....india sucks all because of its uneducated politicians
